Our Story

Nuestra Historia C'est Ma Vie

C’est Ma Vie was born from a deep desire to create a brand that reflects who we are, our essence, our values, and our way of seeing life. My name is Mateo García Patarroyo, originally from Bogotá, Colombia, and this story begins in Toronto, Ontario, the city that became our biggest inspiration.

When I arrived in Canada at 20, life was full of challenges, lessons, and new experiences. Through all of it, I realized that in a world where everyone tries to look the same, the real goal is to stay true to yourself. That’s how C’est Ma Vie came to life, as a reminder to live on our own terms and embrace everything that comes, good or bad.

During the winter of 2023, after losing my seasonal job, I discovered tufting, and immediately fell in love with it. I started making rugs from home, not realizing that this small idea would grow into something much bigger. With time, friends, and community support, I began to see how this project could blend art, fashion, and meaning.

That’s when Cristian joined the journey, a good friend who believed in the vision from the start and decided to be part of the process. Since then, C’est Ma Vie has grown from just one person’s idea into something built together, step by step. We’re both focused on shaping a community that values creativity, freedom, and authenticity.
